Mixed camphor sulfonic acid, also called camphor sulfonic acid, is white or almost white crystalline powder.
The molecular formula of camphor sulfonic acid is C10H16O4S. It is a chiral optical enantiomer, which is divided into L-camphor sulfonic acid and d-camphor sulfonic acid. Its melting point is 193 ~ 195ºC and 197 ~ 200ºC, respectively.
Camphor sulfonic acid is a derivative of camphor, widely used in medicine, light industry and daily chemical industry.
At present, its applications mainly focus on chiral asymmetric synthesis, highly selective catalysis of natural products, and preparation of nanoscale conductive polymer materials by polymerization doping with polyaniline, etc.
