Using 3-methylpyridine or MEP as raw material, gas-solid catalytic oxidation was carried out in a certain proportion with ammonia and oxygen in the catalyst bed to produce 3-cyanopyridine, which was hydrolyzed and purified to obtain nicotinic acid. The one-way conversion of 3-methylpyridine was increased to 99%, and the selectivity of 3-cyanopyridine hydrolysis to nicotinic acid was also increased to 99%.
