When being used as a spice, it is the blending raw material of spices of hawthorn; Mimosa and lilac and is widely applied to soap flavor and tobacco flavor. It is used for the synthesis of mandelic acid; α-phenyl indole and ibuprofen as well as being used as the plastic plasticizer.
