1. What is a slurry pump impeller?
Standard Naipu Impellers are designed to produce an optimum balance between wear life and lifetime efficiency. Correct design ensures maximum wear life with a minimum total energy cost over the full service life of the pump.
Impeller efficiency in its new condition is not normally a true indication of the overall power consumption.
The pump-out vanes and concave impeller vane of a MAH(R) pump forces the slurry to form a double inward spiral. This results in uniform wear, a greater utilisation of wearing parts, an increased shaft seal life and sustained high efficiency through the life of the components.

3. Slurry pump spare parts feature
The impeller is the main rotating component which normally has vanes to impart the centrifugal force to the liquid.
Most slurry pump casing are "slower" than their water pump cousins, primarily to reduce wear though lower internal velocities.
Wear resistant cast alloys are used for slurry pump liners and impellers where conditions are not suited to rubber, such as with coarse or sharp edged particles, or on duties having high impeller peripheral velocities or high operating temperatures.
Front and rear shrouds have pump out vanes that reduce recirculation and seal contamination. Hard metal and molded elastomer impellers are completely interchangeable. Cast in impeller threads require no inserts or nuts. High efficiency and high head designs are also available.
