Biomass wood is organic matter that can be converted into energy. Biomass energy commonly include: wood waste and by-products (both mill residues and noncommercial biomass in the woods), energy crops, food crops (e.g., prairie perennials or switch grass), agricultural residues (e.g., corn stover), and animal manure.
Biomass wood materials used as fuel sources can provide heat, electrical and motive power. Biomass in its original form is difficult to successfully use as a fuel in large-scale applications because it is bulky, wet, and dispersed. Biomass densification (pelleting) is a technology for converting wood residues into wood fuel.
Compacting wood at a very high pressure is pelletizing - the process of producing pellets. They have significantly smaller volumes than the original biomass wood and a larger volumetric energy density which makes them a more compact energy source, easy to transport and store.
Hence, biomass wood pellet fuels are a manufactured biomass wood fuel. They could offer interesting opportunities for development of renewable energy.

Ring die wood pellet machine ----Crushing process - Hammer mill
Depending on the different input material, we will supply the suitable Crushing machines.
When the raw material is wood logs with diameter less than 300mm or tree stamp, our Wood Chipper Machine and Wood Crushing Machine is your best choices.
While Hammer Mill is widely used to crush each kind of straw, wood chip, tree branch, bark and leftover bits from agricultural wastes.The suitable moisture content in the Crushing Process is less than 20%, and the thickness of wood chip is less 5mm.
Ring die wood pellet machine ----Drying process
The best moisture content to pelleting is about 8-15%. Our advanced technology of Rotary Dryer is made up of Burning Stove and Main Rotary Dryer, which can realize to reduce the moisture from 60% to 10%, and save about 30% energy consumption comparing the old Rotary Dryer. Our burning stove is fueled by coal and wood material, which can save electricity consumption largely. If the users want to use the other fuel such as gas and electricity, one Burner is necessary, but the extra cost will be charged.

Pellet mill is the significant part of the wood pellet production line,and has reliable and stable performance .Capacity range from 1 ton to 10 ton per hour .You can choose ring die pellet machine or flat die pellet machine depends on your capacity requirements.
Ring die wood pellet machine----Cooling process - Pellet cooling machine
After the pelleting process, the temperature of the wood pellet is about 60-80 degree, and the moisture content of the wood pellet is about 15oC, so we need use Cooler to reduce about 3-4% moisture, such this the wood pellet is easy to store.
But considering the feedback from some foreign clients, the local climate is very humidity; They hope to cool the wood pellet with moisture 7-8oC.
Ring die wood pellet machine ----Packing process - Pellet packing machine
After cooling, the wood pellet will not directly enter into the fuel process, to avoid the wood pellet affected with damp. The packing process is necessary. In this process, the packing machine will make packing of the wood pellet into bags for storage and easy transportation.
