Product Description

SL8081 High Temperature Pipe Sealant for Steam Turbines

Product Introduction:

One component high temperature sealant, it ' s made of inorganic high molecular polymer and other modified components. It will cure and form an insoluble   inorganic polymer on the joint surface in high temperature. It has good resistance to organic solvents, gasoline, jet fuel, petroleum based synthetic hydraulic oil, lubricating oil, freon, natural gas, high temperature gas, hydrogen, oxygen, ammonia, carbon dioxide and other media. It has the advantages of high pressure resistance, good coating process, non combustible and easy disassembly. Its working temperature ranges from - 100 ºC to + 1200 ºC, and instantaneous temperature resistance is + 1300 ºC. Performance is equivalent to Copaltite 5oz high temperature sealant.

How to Use:
1,  The joint surface to be sealed shall be clean, dry and free of oil stain. Use acetone or gasoline to remove oil
2, Use scraper or other suitable tools to evenly apply the sealant on the joint surface that has been degreased, and immediately assemble and fasten it.  Use brush to apply the sealant on the screw, sealant amount shall be 3-4 threads.
3, This product is difficult to cure fully at room temperature, but it can be applied on parts joint surface at room temperature. It will be cured at high temperature when the parts are working. The pressure test shall be conducted after the sealant is completely cured. Uncured excess glue or glue smeared on tools or clothes can be wiped with clean cloth dipped in water.
4, When disassembling, after removing the bolt, knock the joint surface of the part with a cork hammer to loosen it. The solidified sealant on the joint surface can be scraped off with a copper scraper or a copper brush and other tools with appropriate hardness.
