Composite Insulator
Feature
1. High mechanical strength, epoxy fiber glass rod tension strength is double of normal steel, 8-10 times of porcelain materials.
2. High performance against pollustion & flashover, the wet withstand voltage is 2-2.5 times of porcelain insulator at same creepage distance.
3. Good performance of hydrophobicity.
4. Small volume & Light weight, easy for transportation.
Therefore, it is a new generation for electric power line.
Structure
Composite insulator is made of Fibre Glass Core Rod, Silicone Rubber Shed and Metal Fitting. The silicone rubber shed adopt the whole pressure technique, which solves the main problem of interface electric spark puncture. Connection the fibreglass rod with metal fittings adopts advanced crimping technology. Galvanized end fittings can be anti corrosion.
End Fitting
The end fittings are in accordance with IEC 61466-1 (Composite string insulator units for overhead lines with a nominal voltage greater than 1000V-Part 1 : Standard strength and end fittings). ANSI standard also available.
