Ethylhexyl triazone (UV absorber UVT-150) is an oil-soluble absorber with the strongest UV-B absorption capacity. It has strong light stability, strong water resistance, and has a good affinity for skin keratin. Ethylhexyl triazone is a new type of ultraviolet absorber developed in recent years. It has a larger molecular structure and high ultraviolet absorption efficiency. It has a broad-spectrum sunscreen effect, which prevents both UVB and UVA ultraviolet rays. , Can be used as an additive in sunscreen products.
 

Ethylhexyl Triazone is a highly effective UV-B filter with an exceptionally high absorptivity of over 1,500 at 314 nm. Because of its high A1/1 value, only small concentrations are required in cosmetic suncare preparations, to achieve a high SPF value. Concentrations up to 3% are recommended. Besides the polar nature of this product gives it good affinity to the keratin in the skin, so that formulations in which it is used are particularly water-resistant.
Ethylhexyl triazone is the InCI name for octyltriazone. It is a uV filter and absorber. Clinical studies show high photostability and very high uVB-absorption capacity, particularly when compared to other popular uV filters. Studies also indicate that even low concentrations of ethylhexyltriazone in a sun care preparation can contribute significantly to the final product's SPF. It appears to perform particularly well in synergy with zinc oxide.
