D-serine was obtained by reaction of DL-serine and chloro acetyl chl oride under alkaline conditions, dried under reduced pressure, extracted with ethyl ac etate, treated with activated carbon and separated by acylase I. The target compound BOC-D-serine was prepared by amino protection of di-tert-butyl dicarbonate.
Boc-d-serine is a D-serine that contains an amino group protected from electrophilic molecules in organic synthesis by tert-butoxycarbonyl. Boc-d-serine can be used to synthesize acetylaminomethoxy-propionate amide and is an effective anticonvulsant.
