Use:
1.Widely used as a heat stabilizer in PVC rigid products, with salt-based lead salts and lead soap, it can improve the gelation speed.
2.As a halogen absorber in polypropylene and polyethylene, it can eliminate the negative effects of residual catalysts in the resin on the colour and stability of the resin.
3.Also used as a lubricant for polyolefin fibres and mouldings.
4.Used as a mould release agent, plasticizer, thickening agent for grease, waterproofing agent for textiles, smoothing agent for paint industry, etc. in rubber processing.
5.It can also be used as food additive, feed additive, cosmetics, etc.
Direction for use:
The stability of Calcium stearate is weaker than Calcium lead stearate and barium stearate, but if used together with Zn soap and epoxy compounds, the stability could be increased. It is widely used in innoxious products. But under the condition of above 160 °C temperature and long heating time, PVC would be turned into reddish color. Too much use would result in spraying phenomenon.
