Product Description
Properties Methyl maltol is white to yellowish acicular crystal or crystalline powder.
It has a special aroma like burnt cream candy. The dilute solution has a strawberry flavor.
Volatile, 93ºC sublimation.
The 1g sample was dissolved in 82 ml water, 21 ml ethanol, 80 ml glycerol or 28 ml propylene glycol, slightly dissolved in benzene and insoluble in petroleum ether.
Natural products are found in stir-fried malt, pine needles and chicory, among others.
Purpose Methyl maltol is often used in the recipe of daily use flavor, but the amount is very low.
Used for pine needle, rose type, warm and sweet effect.
