Project brief
In January 2023, a mining company introduced two LJC-10000 (φ2000mm) type automatic magnetic separator produced by LONGi. The equipment is used for the last stage separation of the milling workshop 3660 of the mining industry.
The original beneficiation process of the plant uses two ends of grinding, three sections of magnetic separation, the introduction of magnetic levitation separator, magnetic levitation separator installed in the three sections of magnetic separator after.
It will be put into operation on February 1, 2023. After three days of commissioning, the first stage of application, when the concentration grade is 60%-61%, the highest concentrate grade can reach more than 67.5%;When the concentration grade reaches above 66%, the concentrate grade reaches the highest 70%.After March 10, 2023, the second stage of roughing experiment was carried out, the grinding size was from -200 mesh (65%) to -200 mesh (52%), the concentrate grade was stabilized above 66.5%, and the grinding amount was increased from 170t/h to 270t/h.

Stage 1: Data show that when the concentration grade is between 60%-61%, the concentrate grade can reach up to more than 67.5%;When the concentration grade reaches above 66.5%, the concentrate grade can reach above 70%.
Stage 2 : Increase the production
After 10 March 2023, change the high frequency screen from 0.25mm to 0.4mm.After the test run after automatic setting of the equipment, the sample test results of (3.12-3.17) are as follows:

The data of the second stage showed that when the particle size was roughened to 52% of -200 mesh, the concentrate grade could reach more than 66.5%.The grinding rate increased from 170t/h to 270t/h.

Automatic control
Automatic flotation magnetic separator has a button to start and stop function, can realize unmanned duty. After one key start, the equipment enters automatic adjustment state, which can adjust parameters such as concentrate valve opening degree and magnetic field intensity according to different ore quantity. In view of the abnormal state in the process of operation, it has automatic adjustment of running black, valve fault alarm, sensor fault alarm and other abnormal state processing functions, which can fully meet the requirements of automatic operation on site and greatly reduce the management cost.

General
After LONGi automatic magnetic separator was applied in this mining industry, the concentrate products were improved obviously and the tailings were of low grade. Under the running condition of coarse and extraction, the grinding output increased by 58%.The equipment has good reliability and stable operation.

LONGi Laboratory introduction

LONGi Laboratory was established in 2006. It is a comprehensive mineral processing laboratory with magnetic separation gravity separation, flotation and X-ray separation. It is an important part of the magnetic separation engineering technology research center which is approved by CMIF (China Machinery Industry Federation).The laboratory covers an area of more than 4000 square meters, with a complete single magnetic separation testing machines and with a combined in any combination of magnetic separation, gravity separation, and flotation separation testing lines.

The LONGi mineral processing laboratory can conduct mineral processing research experiments, confirmatory experiments and process flow sheet design experiments, analyze the properties of the ore in combination with the experimental data, and provide optional experimental reports, and provide process flow sheet and the basis for equipment model selection.

The LONGi mineral processing Laboratory can provide mineral processing experiments and main mineral elements analysis services for domestic and foreign beneficiation plants and scientific research institutes. It also undertakes the internship tasks of undergraduate and graduate students majoring in mineral processing at China University of Mines, Northeastern University and other universities. Packing, Storage, and Transportation

Longi has plenty of cases and much experience for delivery of the heavy equipment. Some of the equipment is disassembled into pieces during shipment. The key parts like motor will be fully sealed during transportation.
