Glycine :

Glycine (Glycine, abbreviated Gly) and amino acid, its chemical formula is C2H5NO2, white solid, under atmospheric pressure is the simplest amino acid series structure, an amino acid body non-essential, both acidic and basic functional groups in the molecule, can be ionized in the water, has a strong hydrophilic, but belongs to the nonpolar amino acids,  Soluble in polar solvents, but difficult to dissolve in non-polar solvents, and has a higher boiling point and melting point, through the adjustment of aqueous acid and alkaline solution can make glycine present different molecular morphology.

Application:
Fold the food

Purpose 1:

Used as biochemical reagent, used in medicine, feed and food additives, nitrogen fertilizer industry as non-toxic decarbonization agent 

Purpose 2:

Used in pharmaceutical industry, biochemical test and organic synthesis 

Purpose 3 :

Glycine is mainly used as a nutritional additive in chicken feed. 

Purpose 4:

Glycine also known as aminoacetic acid (acetic acid), used in pesticide production for the synthesis of pyrethroid pesticides intermediate glycine ethyl ester hydrochloride, can also synthesize the fungicide isobiurea and herbicide solid glyphosate, in addition, it is also used in fertilizer, medicine, food additives, flavoring and other industries. 

Purpose 5 :

Nutrient supplement.  It is mainly used for seasoning and so on. 

Flavoring and alanine combined for alcoholic beverages, added amount: wine 0.4%, whiskey 0.2%, champagne 1.0%.  Other ingredients such as powder soup add about 2%;  Lees pickled food 1%.  Because of its ability to a certain degree of shrimp, cuttlefish taste, can be used in sauces. 

It can inhibit the propagation of Bacillus subtilis and Escherichia coli.  Therefore, it can be used as a preservative for surimi products and peanut butter, adding 1%~2%. 

Because glycine is a zwitterion with amino and carboxyl groups, it has strong buffering.  Buffering the taste of things like salt and vinegar.  The added amount was 0.3%~0.7% for salt and 0.05%~0.5% for acid stain. 

Antioxidant action (using its metal chelation) added to cream, cheese, margarine can extend the storage life of 3~4 times.  To stabilize lard in baked goods, glucose 2.5% and glycine 0.5% can be added.  Add 0.1%~0.5% to the wheat flour for instant noodles, and it can play a flavoring role.  In medicine, it is used as an acid making agent (hyperacidosis), muscular dystrophy therapeutic agent, antidote, etc.  Also for threonine and other amino acid synthesis raw materials. 

It can be used as spice according to GB 2760-2013. 
 Use 6:

It is used as a buffer, in the preparation of tissue media, in the examination of copper, gold and silver, and in medicine for the treatment of myasthenia gravis and progressive muscular atrophy, excessive gastric acid, chronic enteritis, hyperprolinemia in children and other diseases. 

Purpose 7|:

Treament of myasthenia gravis and progressive muscle atrophy;  Treatment of gastric ester hyperplasia, chronic enteritis (often used in antacids);  Combined with aspirin, can reduce its irritation to the stomach;  Treatment of hyperprolinemia in children;  As a nitrogen source to produce non-essential amino acids, it was added into mixed amino acid injection. 

P urpose 8 :

It is used in the fertilizer industry as a solvent for the removal of carbon dioxide.  In the pharmaceutical industry, it can be used as amino acid preparation, buffering agent of aureomycin and synthetic raw material of anti-Parkinson's disease drug L-dopa. It is also an intermediate of ethyl imidazolate. It is also an adjuvant therapeutic drug, which can treat nerve acid excess and inhibit acid excess of gastric ulcer.  In the food industry industry used as synthetic wine, brewing products, meat processing and cooling drinks formula and saccharin to the base agent, as a food additive, glycine can be used as a condiment alone, can also be used with sodium glutamate, DL-alanine, citrate and so on.  In other industries, it can be used as a pH regulator, added to electrobath, or used as a raw material for other amino acids.  Used as biochemical reagents and solvents in organic synthesis and biochemistry.
