Sodium citrate, also known as sodium citrate, chemical formula C6H5Na3O7, molecular weight 258.07, is an organic compound, a colorless rhomboid crystal, stable in air, soluble in water and glycerin, slightly soluble in ethanol. The aqueous solution is slightly alkaline and cool when tasted. When heated to 100ºC, it becomes dihydrate salt.
