Application:   Used as an organic synthesis raw material, it can be used as a solvent, refrigerant, flame retardant, and antiknock component, and is used as a disinfectant and analgesic in medicine.  As an intermediate of pesticides, it is the main raw material for synthesizing new, efficient, and widely used fungicides, as well as the raw material for large tonnage acaricides.  Dibromomethane is a good flame retardant that can effectively reduce the heat of combustion of plastics when added to polymers.
