Cabazitaxel Jevtana (Cabazitaxel) is a microtubule inhibitor indicated for use in combination with Prednis one or Prednisol one in the treatment of patients with hormone-refractory metastatic prostate cancer previously treated with Docetaxel-containing regimens, allowing for more precise treatment throughout the course of therapy. . It acts by disrupting the microtubule network that is essential for mitotic and interphase cell function and causes inhibition of cell division and cell death. Cabazitaxel Jevtana has been shown to inhibit cell division and tumor cell proliferation by binding and stabilizing microtubulin, the protein in the cellular microtubules that provides the backbone that maintains cell shape.
