Basic Uses
GUIBAO 662 Silicone Sealant for Automotive Light is designed for waterproofing bonding and sealing applications for automotive lights and other high quality lights.

Features
  1. Two-part neutral fast curing silicone sealant;
  2. Flexible elastomer after curing;
  3. After curing, the performance is stable in the range of -55ºC~+180ºC;
  4. Bond a variety of materials such as metals, plastics, ceramics and glass;
  5. Convenient application, suitable for assembly line production;
  6. Recommended ratio is 8~12:1 (weight ratio), and the best ratio is 10:1 (weight ratio);

Colours
Guibao 662 Two-part Silicone Sealant for Automative Lamps: Part-A is white, Part-B is black, and its mixture is black or gray.

Packaging
The Part A of GUIBAO 662 is available in 200L drums (net 240kg) or 20L plastic pails (net 25kg), Part B in 20L plastic pails (net 18kg) or cartridges (net 300ml).

Storage and Transportation
  1. Store at 0~27°C , in a cool, dry and ventilated place;
  2. Guibao 662 Part-B should be strictly stored and sealed because the contact of Part-B with water vapor in the air will release hydrolysis reaction;
  3. From the date of production, the storage period is 9 months;
  4. This product is stored and transported as non-dangerous goods.

Application Method
Surface Treatment
  1. The surface of substrate needs to be dry and clean to remove rust, dust, oil, etc. 
  2. Usable cleaning solvents include alcohol, acetone, etc.
Bonding
  1. Good adhesion to most substrates, except PTFE, PE, PMMA and similar materials. 
  2. Apply sealant onto the cleaned surface with the application gun to make it evenly   distributed. 
  3. If the temperature is lower, the curing time will be extended.
Plasma Treatment
For materials with low surface energy, the plasma treatment is required.

Priming
  1. In order to achieve the best bonding effect, it is recommended to use GB (GUIBAO)   special primer;
  2. Treat the surface of substrate with solvent, then dip, brush or spray the primer on the   surface of substrate to form a coat of thin film;
  3. After the primer drying for 5~10 minutes, apply silicone sealant to the surface of
  4. primer to generate adhesion.
Site Test
Butterfly test
The butterfly test should be performed every time when the machine is turned on,   including the power on after an interruption. The purpose of this test is to check whether   the Part A and Part B are evenly mixed.

Working time test
If the two-part sealant has been fully and evenly mixed (confirmed by the butterfly   test), the next step can be the working time test. This test needs to be performed ever y day. The working time is   related to the mixing ratio of the main agent and the curing agent, and can provide a reference   for the working time and internal deep curing time of sealant.

Adhesion Test
The adhesion test is a method to test the adhesiveness of the sealant to the actual   substrate. The sealant should be applied on each representative substrate. When   replacing the bonding material, you should actively test the adhesion on the substrate to   avoid bonding failure due to the replacement of the substrate. When replacing the   substrate, the substrate should be sent to Guibao for the bonding test conducted by   Guibao technicist.

Usage Limits
  1. When the material surface is below 4 ºC or above 50 ºC , it is not suitable for   application.
  2. Not suitable for use in dense and unventilated places and continuous immersion in   water, and also cannot be used as structural adhesive. Ø
  3. Due to the diversity of the materials to be bonded and the differences between   batches, the adhesive performance of the sealant may be reduced, and the   adhesiveness test must be carried out before application.
Safety Instruction
This product is non-toxic after fully cured, but before curing, avoids contact with eyes. If   contact with eyes, please rinse with plenty of water and seek medical treatment; uncured   products should be kept away from children; attention should be paid to ventilation in the   construction and curing area.
