• Musk is a synthetic musk fragrance which mimics natural musk. It has been used as a perfume fixative in a wide variety of consumer products,and is still used in some cosmetics and fragrances.

• Description: Pale yellowish, whitish yellow or yellow granular crystals
• Odor: Sweet, heavy floral-musky odor
• Boiling-point: > 200 °C
• Solubility: Virtually insoluble in water; soluble in 95% ethanol (33 g/100 g), methyl carbitol (16.4 g/100 g), benzyl benzoate (50.0 g/100 g),etc;
