What is Florfenicol ?

Function of Florfenicol
Florfenicol tightly binds to the 50S subunit on the bacterial ribosome, hinders the transpeptide reaction of the peptide acyltransferase, and thereby inhibits the extension of the peptide chain; at the same time, it selectively acts on the 70S ribosomes that make up the bacterial cell Receptors, alter and interfere with the function of peptidyltransferase, thereby double-interfering with the synthesis of bacterial proteins.
