Chemical Properties: White amorphous powder. Odorless and tasteless. Insoluble in water, insoluble in alcohol, soluble in acid or ammonium salt solution. 
Application:  Used for manufacturing ceramics, enamels, refractory crucible and refractory brick. Used as polishing agent, adhesive, paint and paper filler, chloroprene rubber and fluorine rubber promoter and activator, mixed with magnesium chloride and other solutions, can make magnesium oxide cement. Used in medicine as an antacid and laxative for excessive gastric acid and gastric and duodenal ulcer. Also used in glass, dye, phenolic plastics and other industries. In food grade, it is used as decolorizing agent in refining sugar and Ph regulating agent of ice cream powder.
