Ferro silicon is silvery gray in appearance with a metallic luster and can be processed into natural blocks, standard blocks, granules, and powders according to requirements. Due to its rich content of silicon, Ferro silicon is often used in the deoxidation process in steel making, for example in some low alloy structural steel, spring steel, bearing steel, heat resistant steel, and electrical silicon steel.
Ferro silicon used coke quartz(or silica)as raw material made by electric furnaces because silicon and oxygen are easily compounded into SiO2, Ferro Silicon is often used as a deoxidizer in steeling. It also can be used as a suspended phase in the mineral processing industry and as coatings for welding electrodes in electrode manufacturing. According to the content of Silicon, this product can be divided into FeSi with the Si content: 75%,72%,70%,65%,60%, and 45%.
