Behenyl (C22) trimethylammonium methyl sulfate. BTMS is derived from behenic acid extracted from non-GMO rapeseed oil and synthesized through a complex scientific process. It has a wide range of uses in personal care products due to its unique direct adsorption and antistatic properties of the behenyl-based moiety. Its functions include moisturizing, cleansing, conditioning, softening, suspending and emulsifying.

GRECAT BTMS-50 has excellent anti-tangle properties on hair and does not build up on hair.
It is by far one of the mildest anti-tangle ingredients.
