Carboxymethyl Cellulose also called CMC is an anionic water soluble polymer based on renewable cellulosic raw material. It functions as rheology modifier, retains water and is an excellent film former. These attributes make it a preferred choice as a bio-based hydro-colloid in multiple applications.

 

CMC can reduce water loss, and increase viscosity in drilling fluid, cementing fluid and fracturing fluid. They play the roles of protecting the wall of well, taking drilling trifles, protecting drilling bit,preventing mud loss and increasing drilling rate.

1. Used for oil and natural-gas drilling, drilling Wells and other projects;
2. Used in textile, printing and dyeing industry: as sizing agent;
3. Used in paper industry: can be used as paper surface smoothing agent, sizing agent;
4. It can be used as dirt adsorbent in synthetic detergent;
