Epoxidized soybean oil is a pale yellow oily liquid. Soluble in organic solvents such as hydrocarbons, ketones, esters, higher alcohols, etc., slightly soluble in ethanol, but insoluble in water. Epoxidized soybean oil is used as a plasticizer for PVC plastics.
