Product Description:

Benzoic acid takes the form of either white powder or flake. There is a slight scent of Benzoate or Benzyl Aldehyde. Benzoic acid begins to sublimate at 100ºC. It is hard to dissolve in water at room temperature, but soluble in boiling water, alcohol,  and ether. Benzoic acid is staale in air.

Product Applications:

[1] Benzoic acid is used as an antiseptic and anti-microorganism agent in the medical and food industries.
[2] It is used as plasticizer in the organic chemical industry.
[3] Benzoic acid can also be used as a food preservative. The recommended dosage is 1g/kg in soy sauce, vinegar, fruit juice, jam, fruit syrup and can food; 0.8g/kg in wine, fruit wine and soft agarose; 0.4g/kg in soda juice; 0.5g/kg in low-salt paste, flour paste, candied fruit, haw jelly cake and fruit syrup; 2g/kg in condensed fruit juice.
