Simvastatin is a cholesterol-lowering drug of statins, which is a synthetic derivative of the fermentation products of Aspergillus terrae and is used to control the content of cholesterol in blood and prevent cardiovascular diseases. Simvastatin is A methylhydroxyglutaryl-coA (HMG-COA) reductase inhibitor, which inhibits the synthesis of chemicalbook-derived cholesterol and is A lipid regulator. It can reduce the content of cholesterol (TC) in serum, liver and aorta of hyperlipidemia rabbits, and reduce the level of very low density lipoprotein cholesterol (VLDL-C) and low density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C).
APPLICATIONS
