Cyclohexane, an organic compound with the chemical formula C6H12, is a colorless and pungent liquid, insoluble in water and soluble in most organic solvents such as ethanol, ether, benzene, acetone, etc.
Chemical property
It is volatile and extremely flammable, and the vapor and air form an explosive mixture, with an explosion limit of 1.3 ~ 8.4% (volume). It is easy to burn and explode in case of open fire and high heat. Contact with oxidant will cause strong reaction and even cause combustion. In the fire scene, heated containers are in danger of explosion. Its vapor is heavier than air, and can spread to a considerable distance at a lower place. It will catch fire and burn back when encountering a fire source.
First aid measures
Skin contact: take off contaminated clothes and wash skin thoroughly with soapy water and clear water.
Eye contact: lift the eyelids and rinse with flowing water or normal saline. See a doctor.
Inhalation: quickly leave the site to a place with fresh air. Keep the respiratory tract unobstructed. If breathing is difficult, give oxygen. If breathing stops, give artificial respiration immediately. See a doctor.
Ingestion: drink enough warm water to induce vomiting. See a doctor.
