Electric resistance welded (ERW) pipe is made of steel coil with a parallel weld seam. Because the coil's width is the same as the pipe's circumference, diameters are limited to 24 inches. However, due to the quick manufacturing process, it is ideal for large production runs of small (= 24 in.) diameter sections.
