1. The Value of Barite.
(1) For Drilling Mud Using. Generally
The fineness of barite weighting agent for drilling mud should be over 0.056 mm, density > 4.2 g / cm3, grade > 95%, and soluble salt content < 1%.
(2) For Rubber and Paper Making
Generally, the grade of barite filler for rubber and paper making is more than 98%, CaO content is less than 0.36%, and it is not allowed to contain harmful components such as magnesium oxide and lead.
The requirements of purity, whiteness and impurity content of barite for different uses are different.
2. The most Popular Process Line For Barite: Jigger Gravity Separator.
Jigger Separator is used as the main equipment of barite separation and purification. This process is described in detail below.
(1) Crushing System
The barite is brittle and fragile, so the simple and practical jaw crusher is mainly used in the crushing process, and the two-stage crushing process is used to crush the large barite mined, so as to make it reach the effective selection particle size range of the jigger Separator.
PE400 * 600 jaw crusher
is recommended for the first section and
PEX250 * 1000 fine jaw crusher
is recommended for the second section.
After the first section of crushing, the products are transported to the second section of fine jaw crusher by belt conveyor for re crushing, so as to meet the selected particle size requirements of the subsequent sorting equipment. Due to the customer's requirement that there should be no dust in the production process, it is recommended to add water appropriately in the crushing process to reduce the dust generated during the operation of the crusher.
(2) Screening System
The jigger separation has strict requirements on the particle size of materials
. Generally, it is required to be graded and selected in order to achieve better beneficiation indexes and higher processing capacity. Therefore, in the barite gravity separation process, the screening process needs to be set to screen the broken products. The broken products are divided into different particle sizes and enter the jigger for jigging separation.
The screening process adopts a simple and practical circular vibrating screen with large processing capacity and high screening efficiency. This type of vibrating screen has low failure rate, large processing capacity, high screening efficiency and easy operation. It is an ideal equipment for barite screening. As the screening process will also produce a certain amount of dust, it is recommended to set up water supplement in the process to reduce the generation of dust.
(3) Buffer Equipment
The jigger needs uniform and stable ore feeding volume in normal operation, so it is better to set the mechanism and equipment for buffering before the jigger,
such as stock bin and vibrating feeder
. The function of stock bin is to avoid the previous equipment's workload from being too large or too small, and there is a certain amount of material in it, while the function of vibrating feeder is to feed the jigger materials uniformly and stably. These two auxiliary equipment The existence of the jig has a vital role in the normal and efficient work of the subsequent jig.
The hoppers are installed up above the vibrating feeder. There are some pieces of steel channel between the feeder and jigger separators.
(4) Jigger Separating
According to the customer's requirements, we use two types of jigs to separate the crushed barite materials. Due to the inevitable production of fine materials in the process of crushing, it is recommended to use two types of jigs to separate the coarse and fine materials. The 1st-4th jigger separators adopt the coarse JT4-2 jigger Separators for the treatment of 10-30mm coarse barite ore, and the 5th jigger separator adopts the JT5-2 jigger separator for the treatment of 0-10mm fine barite ore.
The concentrate produced by 1st-4th jigger flows into 10-30mm particle concentrate tank through pipeline or chute, and the concentrate produced by the 5th jigger separator flows into 0-10mm particle concentrate tank.
All the tailings generated by the jig are collected into the tailings pond and transported away by forklift or conveyor after sedimentation.
(5) Dewatering Equipment
Due to the requirement of mechanical dehydration by customers, the simplest precipitation and even spreading dehydration can be used in the dehydration process. Suitable mechanical dewatering scheme can also be designed according to the requirements.
