The Low Intensity Dry Drum Magnetic Separator is used in the primary or rougher stages to improve the feeding grade of material to the next stream processing. It is applied in automatic continuous concentration of magnetic ores, or removal of magnetite from fly ash, purification of ground slag, foundry sand, cement and minerals. The dry Low intensity magnetic separator is normally used in conjunction with our specially designed vibratory feeder. The feeding size is up to 12mm.

Working Principle
The low intensity dry drum magnetic separator employs the principle that ferrous material can be attracted by a permanent magnets, a semi-circular magnet system is arranged inside the drum. Ferrous particles are attracted to the drum surface while passing through the magnetic field area and flow to the non-magnetic area where they are discharged to the concentrate outlet; non-ferrous and a few low grade ferrous particles pass through the magnetic area are discharged by gravity to the tailing outlet. The magnetic intensity is designed from 700gauss~7000gauss
