Cyclohexanone is an organic compound with the chemical formula of C6H10O. It is a saturated cyclic ketone containing carbonyl carbon atoms in a six-membered ring. Colorless transparent liquid, with earthy smell, and mint flavor when it contains traces of phenol. The impure substance is light yellow, which will be colored with the impurities generated during storage, and will be water white to grayish yellow, with a strong pungent odor.
