Product Description

Ferric pyrophosphate is an inorganic salt with the molecular formula of FE4 (o7p2) 3. It is yellow-white to yellowish-brown powder, odorless, slightly iron taste. The solution is a white to yellowish emulsion. It is obtained by the reaction of ferric chloride solution and sodium pyrophosphate solution. Used as an iron fortifier in foods such as milk powder.

Light yellow white to brownish yellow powder, emulsified in water, soluble in inorganic acids. Yellow white powder. Soluble in inorganic acid, alkali and citrate. Insoluble in cold water.

Light color, no iron smell, wide range of application. It has high safety, less gastrointestinal irritation, no adverse reactions and side effects. In 1994, FDA listed it as Gras (generally recognized as safe) substance. It is stable in nature, can withstand high temperature, and is not easy to be oxidized.
